2. Know Microsoft Office and free online tools
Generally at all jobs you need to use Microsoft Office software or equivalent free tools available. Many of us already know at least a bit how to use these but it is worth wile to learn more and maybe even to advanced level. Your client may not need you to know it now, but maybe a new client in a months time wants a freelancer with advanced skills – and then you are ready to start right there and then. With regards to free tools, one of the most common is tools provided by Google Inc. These are similar tools but do differ to some extent so take cup of coffee and familiarize yourself with the Google Docs.
3. Skype, Hangout, Voice and more
Clients have different preferences on what tools they like to use to keep in touch. Many do use Skype for calls and chats but there are big number of alternatives out these. One common tool is Google Hangout and if you have not used it before it may take a while to get use to the interface. Last thing you want is to trying to figure out a new communication tool two minutes before interview for your dream job!

4. Become Familiar with Social Media
This is great thing to know not just for your clients but also for you and marketing your services. You can research on new clients to see what is being said about them, research their products to impress client during interview and market your services to new clients.
